Legon Cities attacking midfielder, Mathew Anim Cudjoe, has penned a heartfelt gratitude message to former club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, after leaving the club at the end of his loan deal.
The 17-year-old, who joined the Porcupine Warriors from Division One side, Young Apostles at the start of the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season, has completed a move to Legon Cities ahead of the start of the new season.
Anim Cudjoe was said to be in renewal talks with Kotoko, but the two could not reach a compromise and he joined the Royals with Asamoah Gyan.
He took to Twitter to express his appreciation of the contribution made to his budding career by Asante Kotoko and singled out coach Maxwell Konadu for the belief showed in him as a teenager coming to the club.
“As I move on with my playing career, I will have to express my profound gratitude to the management, technical team, staff and supporters of Asante Kotoko for the memorable time together.
“To head coach Maxwell Konadu, who believed in me and gave me first-team opportunities as a 16-year-old, I say a big thank you.”
He concluded with a Twi phrase, saying, thank you to you all: “Nyame Nhyira Mu Nyinaa.”
The left-footed sensation featured six times for Asante Kotoko and scored a lone goal when Kotoko beat Ebusua Dwarfs at home in GPL match week 5.
