Ghana Premier League record-winners Asante Kotoko have named Prince Owusu in an acting capacity as a replacement for Karim Zito who has left his role at the club.

Zito resigned from his post following the Porcupine Warriors’ MTN FA Cup round of 16 defeat against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Kumasi-based side has been linked with former Black Stars head coach Charles Akunnor who is currently head coach of Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia as well as FC Samartex coach Christopher Enin.

However, in a short release on the club’s Facebook page, the Porcupine Warriors have confirmed the appointment of Prince Owusu in a temporary capacity.

According to the release, he will be supported by former Hearts of Oak assistant coach Hamza Obeng.
