Over 60 women from the Okaikwei Central Constituency celebrated their graduation from the Skills Enhancement project, organized by Misneat School of Beauty in collaboration with Member of Parliament, Patrick Yaw Boamah.
The 3rd graduation ceremony, held under the theme “Enhancing the youth today for a better tomorrow,” saw beneficiaries receive certification in makeup, wig making, and nails artistry.
To ensure a smooth transition into entrepreneurship, startup kits were presented to the graduands, empowering them to start their own businesses.
Naa Ayele Osongor II, Queen mother of Abeka, graced the occasion as special guest of honour, commending the initiative.
“This empowerment program is a testament to the constituency’s commitment to women’s development,” Naa Ayele Osongor II stated.
MP’s Commitment
Patrick Yaw Boamah, MP for Okaikwei Central Constituency, reiterated his dedication to enhancing the lives of constituents.
“Empowering women is crucial for community development. I’m proud to support this initiative,” Boamah said.
Accprding to Bertha Totu, the proprietress of the school, Misneat School of Beauty’s collaboration with the MP’s office demonstrates the power of public-private partnerships in driving social change.
“We’re committed to providing skills training that fosters economic independence,” said the school’s proprietress.
