Legendary Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame also known as Rap Dacta will be the special guest on Channel One TV’s entertainment and Lifestyle show The Chat on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 6:30 pm.

Okyeame Kwame is regarded as one of the pioneers of Hiplife. His dual roles as an artiste and an activist have led to his recognition as an “artivist.”

Okyeame Kwame won the Ghana Music Awards Group of the Year and Hiplife Song of the Year in 2000 with his then-group, Akyeame.

However, the group split and the Rap Dacta never gave up but came back stronger as a solo artiste to win the Artiste of the Year award in 2009.

During the interview, the Rap Dacta is expected to discuss his new project and his thoughts on the current state of the Ghanaian music industry.

This week’s edition of the Chat will also feature Jamaican Reggae songstress Hempress Sativa and a panel of entertainment experts who will review music videos and discuss current entertainment topics.

The Chat which is hosted by Ekow Koomson airs every Saturday on Channel One TV from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
