The one-week observation ceremony for the late Highlife musician Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has been slated for Saturday, June 21.
The event will take place at 7am at the East Legon Executive Club House in Accra.
Dada KD passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Gbawe SDA Hospital after a short illness. He was 54 years old.
Prior to his sudden demise, the iconic musician was preparing for a major performance in London scheduled for May 25, 2025.
Dada KD was known for his soulful Highlife hits including “Odo Mu Anigye,” “Ene Me Nye,” “Yebeye Yen Ho Fi,” “So Mu Gye,” and “Obiaa Se Eye.” His music resonated with fans across generations and cemented his legacy in Ghana’s music history.
Further details about the funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
