The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has dismissed media reports suggesting that a court has cleared Nana Yaw Duodu, alias Dr Sledge, of Godridge Ghana Limited, of corruption-related allegations.
In a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday the OSP said it had not filed any criminal charges in court against Dr Sledge, and no court had either pronounced on his guilt or innocence.
It said investigations into the operations of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) between 2020-2024, which included the activities of Dr Sledge, was ongoing.
The aspects of the investigation involving him approximates to $94 million, the statement noted.
In 2025, the OSP froze assets in the form of vehicles belonging to Dr. Sledge, valued at GH¢18 million.
It said in January 2026, the High Court refused to confirm the asset freezing.
The statement said the OSP took legal steps intended at nullifying the refusal of confirmation.
It also took steps to re-secure and freeze the assets, but the assets remained frozen and were under the authority, protection, and preservation of the OSP in the public interest, as the Office continued its tracing operations to identify and freeze additional assets suspected to be tainted.
“Upon the conclusion of the investigation, any person against whom sufficient evidence is established will be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction,” the statement said.
