Lead by Ghana eSports Federation (GeSF)match Commissioner Solomon Osei and official Gloria Peprah and accompanied by GeSF President Igor Buoamepko the Team has touched down in Accra.
Phygital Team Ghana’s journey to UAE begin after qualifying through a rigorous competition in Accra early this year.
The Team secured a direct qualification to Abu Dhabi and worked hard towards the finals. Drawn in Group D with defending Champions Liga Pro, from Russia, Interstellar of USA and G Unit of Montenegro arguably the Group of Death.
Team Ghana’s debut at the was represented by 4 teammates Ayivor Rueben Di-Angelo Senam (Big Reu), Mitah Larry ( Changes), Dennis Kwesi Ketu ( K2) and Addo Thomas Kwame Asare (Bricks) and by coached by Djimate Jeffrey Nii Odartey.
The Team played 3 games and won the first against Interstellar 27:26 but lost Liga Pro 35:25 and G Unit 33:22 putting up a good fight in all the games.
Games Commissioner Solomon Osei says it was a learning experience the young team and a great opportunity for the Team at the Phygital Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 and looks forward to build on the experience ahead of Astana 2026.
