England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has reached an agreement on a new contract with Everton.
The 28-year-old was set to enter the final year of his current deal at Goodison Park and had been linked with a possible transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
Pickford joined Everton from Sunderland in 2017 for a fee of £30m and has since made 222 appearances for the club located in Merseyside.
According to Everton’s new manager Sean Dyche, Pickford’s decision to stay with the team is a positive indication that he is content with the club’s new direction.
Dyche replaced Frank Lampard as manager and has guided the team to two victories out of their last three matches.
Currently, Everton sits in 16th place in the standings, just one point above the relegation zone.
