Police arrests four in connection with Prof Yaw Benneh’s death

Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested four persons in connection with the death of University of Ghana Law Scholar, Yaw Benneh.

The four according to the Police are the domestic staff of the academic scholar.

Speaking to Accra-based Starr FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Greater Accra regional Police PRO ASP Afia Tenge“The Police have picked up four persons who have come under suspicion in the murder of the law professor in his home at Adjiringano. They are currently being interrogated as part of police investigations. All these four persons are domestic workers of the deceased”.

The death of the Law Lecturer was reported yesterday on major news platforms across the country after his dead body was found in a pool of blood at his residence at East Legon in Accra.

A colleague, Poku Adusei who broke the news through his social media platform said ” “Folks, I had wanted not to be the breaker of such ominous news, but the calls are incessant: The world is damned evil; Prof. Yaw Benneh of Legon Law has been ‘murdered’ in JB-style in his Adjirigano mansion. It appears to be an act perpetuated about three days ago, but it was just discovered this morning”.
