The statement was signed by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, Public Relations Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The development follows earlier reports about the incident, which occurred at Saki-Golf City in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency.

According to the report, the victims, Ebenezer Kwabena Obiri, a fuel tanker driver, and his pregnant wife, were believed to have been attacked in their home on April 30, 2026. Their bodies were later discovered on May 1, 2026, in a pool of blood, while their three-year-old daughter was found alive in the room.

The suspect, Prince Krah, was said to have recently visited and stayed with the couple and had been spending time with them prior to the incident. Eyewitnesses also claimed he was often seen with the deceased but went missing shortly after the alleged attack.

It was further alleged that the deceased had mentioned receiving a huge amount of  money for a fuel transaction shortly before the incident, raising suspicions that robbery may have been a motive.

Police investigations are ongoing as authorities intensify efforts to locate and arrest the suspect
