The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement denying the arrest of popular Ghanaian blogger Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas.
It would be recalled that three days ago, the first lady of Ghana Rebecca Akufo-Addo celebrated her birthday and immediately Akufo-Addo celebrated her in a social media post, Bongo Ideas went under the comment section and insulted the first lady’s barrenness.
Nana Akufo-Addo wrote: “Happy birthday, my beautiful Rebecca Akufo-Addo.”
Bongo Ideas took to his Twitter to reply : “73 years buh she has no child for you. Trophy wife.
There were rumours that the controversial blogger had been arrested in connection with the derogatory comments he made against the President’s marital life.
One of his relatives in an interview with Zionfelix said Bongo ideas was arrested by the Police on Thursday dawn.
But in a statement GhanaWeekend has sighted, the Police has denied the arrest. According to the Police, they have contacted a relative who has confirmed that he is at home.
The National Security has also denied arresting the controversial blogger

The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to Social Media reports that one Albert Nat Hyde a.k.a. BongoIdeas has been arrested by the Police.
The Ghana Police Service has not arrested the said individual.
The Police has contacted a relative who has confirmed that BongoIdeas is at home.
