President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to use the occasion of Eid ul-Adha to deepen national unity and renew their collective commitment to building a better Ghana.

In a message shared on his official Facebook page to make the celebration with the Muslim community, Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of brotherhood and togetherness, especially during moments of spiritual reflection and celebration.

“Let’s use this celebration to strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and the commitment to work together to build the Ghana we want,” he wrote.

Eid ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant events on the Islamic calendar, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. Across the country, Muslims marked the day with prayers, acts of charity, and communal gatherings.

Mr. Mahama’s message adds to a chorus of goodwill from leaders across the political divide, all recognizing the role of faith and unity in national development.
