Dr.  Steven Blessing Ackah, the Executive Director of Ghana Gold Expo, has been nominated and invited by the Senior Advisor at the Department of Economics of the Monaco Government, Mr. Michel Bouquier and Prince Albert II, the Prince of Monaco, to join the Prestigious Club of Monaco from April 16th – 19th.

The invitation is part of the Prince’s remit to coordinate international organisations that contribute to sustainable environment projects: the Monaco economic board joins hands with Monaco Private Label to promote sustainable initiatives which revolve around a safe environment, conservation and reclamation, aerial surveillance, aviation in space, and climate change.

Monaco Private Label is an international network with an ultra-high net worth, created in 2009 to attract super global elite business owners in the principality of Monaco and show how Monaco invests back in other countries.

The club consists of 43 countries that are renowned in their respective field. However, this is the first time a West African representative is participating to forge a lasting link with Monaco.

Dr. Ackah, will receive a membership card that is valid for life and maintain a close link with HSH Prince Albert II Foundation. The Executive Director of Ghana Gold Expo was selected as a result of the role he played in assisting the Government of Ghana in establishing the economic relationship with Monaco in 2020-2022.

Also, he co-founded the Monaco Ghana Business Council in 2020 – through which the Council supported the promotion of zero-mercury for gold production in Ghana at the Ghana Gold Expo 2020 where the first zero-mercury machine was launched.

In 2017, Dr. Ackah was chosen by the G20 Youth Association as the first Black person to chair the new strategy for the financial sector and world economy during the G20 G200 Youth Summit in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

It is expected that during the summit key decisions revolving around entrepreneurship, investment guidelines, the global financial market, energy transition, sustainable mineral extraction, tourism and Eco-tourism will be discussed.

Steven is the official Co-consultant to the Bank of Ghana on responsible sourcing policy to aid the domestic purchase programme.
