Prophet Kofi Oduro, the Head Pastor of Alabaster International Ministries, has attributed the Black Stars’ inability to win a major international trophy to a spiritual cause.
Speaking during a sermon, he suggested that the team’s 40-year AFCON title drought is due to a curse. Despite having a talented squad and reaching the finals three times since their last victory in 1982, the team continues to fall short.
Prophet Oduro specifically pointed to the team’s management as part of the problem, stating, “When you face repeated defeat over a long time, it signifies a spiritual burden that needs to be broken—just like the Black Stars. You cannot convince me there’s a blessing on the team. There’s a curse on their head that must be lifted. Otherwise, they will continue to lose. All they seem to do is chop money,” he remarked.
