Global sportswear brand Puma has revealed the Ghana national football team’s new home and away kits for the upcoming 2024/25 season, showcasing a blend of tradition and modern design.
The home kit stays true to Ghana’s classic white base, while the away kit dazzles in a bold yellow, embodying the team’s vibrant spirit.
“Four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners Ghana are iconic in every sense, both in name and nature,” Puma stated on its official website.
Both kits incorporate intricate Adinkra symbols, a nod to Ghana’s cultural heritage. The home jersey features a subtle all-over pattern complemented by a central black star, symbolizing national pride. The away kit, dominated by bright yellow, also celebrates these symbols, representing unity and strength across Ghana’s diverse tribes.
Ghanaian designer Jefferson Osei spearheaded the creative process, aiming to create a unifying design for the nation. Osei teamed up with acclaimed Ghanaian painter Daniel Alum Jasper, who contributed the graphic elements inspired by carefully selected Adinkra motifs.
Originally designed for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the kits’ debut on the tournament stage remains uncertain as Ghana’s qualification hangs in the balance. With crucial matches against Angola and Niger ahead, the team must rely on favourable results to secure their place.
