In a heartwarming display of generosity and compassion, the PureEden Foundation (PEF) on Friday, October 18, 2024, donated essential food items and toiletries valued to Akropong School for the Blind in the Eastern Region.

This selfless act aimed to support the school’s remarkable work in empowering students with visual impairments.

Led by Ms. Louisa Mensah, Associate Executive Director, the PEF team included Dennis Ato Keelson, Communications and Programs Manager, and Samuel Sekyi, Administrator.

Presenting the items, Mr. Keelson praised the school’s dedication to empowering students with visual impairments, saying, “We admire the incredible work done here, enabling students to reach their full potential. Your achievements inspire us, and we’re proud to contribute to your noble cause.”

The donation included: 4 bags of rice, 1 bag of sugar, 1 sack of beans, 2 cartons of tomato paste, 1 bag of iodine salt, 2 sacks of maize 1 sack of millet, 2 gallons of cooking oil, and 10 boxes of Yazz sanitary pads.

PEF’s gesture ensures students receive necessary sustenance and essentials, alleviating hunger and promoting well-being. “Your potential is limitless, and we believe in you,” Mr. Keelson encouraged the students.

This donation embodies PEF’s mission to improve lives through education, health, and social welfare. By supporting vulnerable communities, PEF fosters a brighter future for Ghana.

Receiving the donation, Mr. Joseph Sowu, Donation Committee Chairperson, thanked PureEden Foundation (PEF) warmly, stating: “We are thrilled to receive this generous support. The donated items will greatly improve the lives of our students, contributing to their overall wellbeing and academic success.”
