German-born Ghanaian international Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer delivered once again for Hamburger SV, scoring a crucial goal to secure a 1-1 draw against FC Augsburg at the Volksparkstadion.
The German-born Ghana international continues to prove his importance to the team, stepping up at a key moment with HSV trailing and under pressure from the visitors.
Königsdörffer, found the equaliser in the 61st minute, finishing clinically after finding space in the box to fire past the Augsburg goalkeeper and cancel out the early lead.
His strike came during a strong spell of pressure from the hosts and lifted the atmosphere inside the stadium.
The goal takes the 24-year-old’s tally to five for the season in 27 league appearances, underlining his growing influence in HSV’s campaign.
With seven matches remaining, Hamburger SV sit 11th on the table with 31 points and will now turn attention to their next fixture away to VfB Stuttgart.
