US rapper Offset is in stable condition after he was shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida on Monday.
The artiste, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot in the valet area of the casino, according to his spokesperson. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is being closely monitored.
Authorities from the Seminole Police Department said two people were detained following the incident as investigations continue. Police added that the area has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to the public, with operations at the casino continuing as normal. Details surrounding what led to the shooting were not immediately available.
Offset rose to fame as a member of the hip-hop trio Migos alongside Quavo and Takeoff. The group gained widespread recognition with their 2013 breakout hit Versace and later scored a No. 1 single with Bad and Boujee featuring Lil Uzi Vert. Other notable hits include MotorSport with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, and Walk It Talk It featuring Drake. Their 2017 album Culture also earned a Grammy nomination.

The shooting comes years after tragedy struck the group when Takeoff was shot and killed in 2022 outside a bowling alley in Houston while he and Quavo were playing dice nearby. A suspect, Patrick Clark, has pleaded not guilty and is expected to face trial in November.
Offset was previously married to Cardi B. The couple secretly wed in 2017 in Atlanta and share three children. In 2024, Cardi B announced that she had filed for divorce.
