Rumis Engage College of Marketing (RECOM) has launched the RECOM Marketing Talent Fellowship (RMTF), a fully funded initiative designed to identify and develop Ghana’s most promising emerging marketing professionals.
The Fellowship targets top graduating students in marketing, offering them with a structured pathway to transition from academic excellence into professional marketing leadership. The initiative addresses a critical gap in Ghana’s professional education landscape, where high-performing graduates often lack access to mentorship, industry exposure and clear career progression opportunities upon leaving university.
“The future of marketing in Ghana depends not only on academic excellence but on our ability to develop professionals who can think strategically, act responsibly and ethically, and deliver measurable impact,” said Mr. Kwabena Agyekum, Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).
He added that the Fellowship aligns strongly with CIMG’s commitment to advancing professional marketing practice in the country by creating a clear bridge between academic learning and professional certification.
The RECOM Marketing Talent Fellowship is awarded to the best graduating student in Marketing or Business Administration with a Marketing focus. Selection is based on academic performance, leadership potential and a demonstrated commitment to ethical, purpose-led marketing. Fellows receive full tuition support for Pathway 5 (Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing) and Pathway 6 (Professional Marketer).
In addition, the programme offers mentorship from experienced industry practitioners, practical exposure through real-world case work and career acceleration support to fast-track professional growth.
Speaking on the initiative, Amin Ayarnah, Founder and President of RECOM, emphasized the importance of intentional talent development. “Too often, brilliant graduates are left to navigate their careers alone. The RECOM Marketing Talent Fellowship is more than a scholarship; it is a deliberate investment in individuals who have the potential to shape organizations, influence markets and contribute meaningfully to society.” He noted that the Fellowship reflects RECOM’s broader mission to cultivate purpose-led, ethically grounded and industry-ready marketing professionals.
The Fellowship is expected to contribute to raising the standard of marketing practice in Ghana by creating a pipeline of professionally certified marketers, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations and promoting ethical and responsible marketing practices. RECOM announced that the initiative will initially partner with select institutions, with plans to expand nationwide and eventually across Africa.
