The course, held from October 12th to October 15th, for Group 1, brought together 30 referees and 30 assistant referees, aiming to enhance their skills and understanding of the game ahead of the new season.

The training covered a wide range of topics essential for modern refereeing. The sessions included discussions on technical situations, analysis, and fitness preparation, which are crucial for maintaining high performance throughout the season. Key updates in the 2024/25 Amendments of the Laws of the Game were also thoroughly reviewed, ensuring that referees are well-versed in the latest rules.

Participants engaged in detailed sessions on various aspects of match officiating such as concepts of refereeing, managing offside calls, interpreting handball situations, assessing challenges and tactical fouls, handling penalty area incidents, and positioning and reading the game effectively.

The course also focused on game and player management, crucial for maintaining control and fairness on the pitch.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, practical aspects were emphasized through video and written tests, fitness checks, and game-specific drills.

The referees underwent integrated and practical training to refine their on-field decision-making skills. A segment on integrity highlighted the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in officiating.

Moreover, the course included a session on CMS (Competitions Management System) registration and presentation, equipping referees with the necessary digital skills to navigate the CMS platform effectively.

The course was conducted under the supervision of the Referees Committee and the Referees Department, with instruction led by national and regional instructors. Their expertise and guidance played a significant role in delivering a well-rounded training experience for the referees.

The training provided a vital opportunity for referees to sharpen their skills, ensuring they are prepared to handle the challenges of the Division One League with confidence and precision.
