Reopening of JHS: Akufo-Addo speaks tonight

The President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to address the country later tonight ahead of the reopening for the various Junior High Schools(JHSs) across the country.

All Junior High Schools across the country are reopening to pave way for final year students to write their final exams which is the Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) in order to prevent a distortion of the academic calendar.

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo is expected to address the country on the modalities for the reopening and also to remind the people of Ghana especially the students to adhere to the various safety protocols put in place to fight the disease.

Ghana is currently implementing a phased approach to easing the various measures put in place to ensure that the country is free of COVID-19

We reported earlier that Ghana has recorded 597 new cases making the confirmed cases 16,431 out of which 12, 257 have been discharged.

Active cases are now 4,071 whiles the country’s death toll stands at 103.
