Rev. Kwadwo Bempah, Head Pastor of the Holy Hill Chapel, Assemblies of God Church, has issued a clarification regarding his remarks during a December 22nd sermon about the incoming government and the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Team.
A video of the sermon, which was widely shared on social media, sparked significant discussion, particularly concerning the pastor’s stance on economic stability and accountability.
In a follow-up video message, Rev. Bempah clarified that he had not spoken against holding wrongdoers accountable or the ORAL Committee set up by the government. He referred to Proverbs 6:30/31, emphasizing the importance of justice and recovering misappropriated resources.
Rev. Bempah explained that his comments about the exchange rate were not intended to imply that the incoming government should have immediate solutions, acknowledging the complexities of the situation and the need for a strategic approach. He reiterated the need for personal effort, referencing Colossians 3:23, and encouraged Ghanaians to work hard and rely on their own diligence.
The pastor concluded by calling for prayers for both current and incoming leaders, stressing the importance of peaceful governance and the collective progress of the nation.
