Rev John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin South Constituency, together with Mrs Felicia Ntrikwah Amissah, District Chief Executive (DCE), presented two Apsonic motorbikes and helmets to the Police in the constituency to enhance visibility and effective policing.

In addition to the bikes, eight pieces of streetlights and some bags of rice were presented to boost policing in the constituency.

At a ceremony to present the items, Rev Ntim Fordjour said the donation was to complement government’s efforts to ensure the police had adequate resources to maintain law and order.

He urged the police officers to continue with their good work for Inspector General of Police (IGP)’s vision of achieving modern policing to become a reality.

The MP appealed to officers in charge to periodically maintain the motorbikes to prolong their life span.

He also urged the public to give information on people with suspicious characters to the police to help combat crime in the various communities.

ASP Robert Kyeremeh, District Police Commander was grateful to the MP and the DCE for the gesture and said, it would enhance crime fighting capabilities and increase their presence in the constituency.
