Rosebank International University College (RIUC), Accra, has inaugurated its governing council, reinforcing its commitment to strong institutional governance, strategic oversight and the delivery of globally competitive higher education.

The council, the highest decision-making body of the institution, is mandated to provide direction, ensure financial accountability and uphold governance and regulatory standards, as RIUC positions itself for sustained growth within Ghana’s evolving higher education landscape.
Chaired by Prof. Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, the council includes Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, alongside Emmanuel Duku, James Yalley Kwofie, Sithembiso Ntuli, and Godwin Kebbi (SRC representative). Other members are RIUC President, Prof. Linda Meyer; Vice President, Dr. George K. Asamoah; Executive Dean, Dr. Ebo Afful; Chief Financial Officer, Rhamees Nordien; and Registrar, Dr. Dorothy Asare.
At the inauguration, council members took the oath of office and secrecy, pledging to uphold integrity, confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility in the discharge of their duties.
In his remarks, Prof. Kwansah-Aidoo emphasised the council’s commitment to rigorous governance and institutional excellence. He said the body would not only ensure compliance with regulatory obligations but also support management to drive sustainable growth, strengthen academic quality and position RIUC as a leading private university.
The university presented an overview of its academic portfolio and strategic priorities, highlighting its focus on industry-relevant programmes and the development of globally competitive graduates.
The inauguration comes amid rising demand for quality, accountability and industry alignment in Ghana’s higher education sector. RIUC said its strengthened governance structure will enhance stakeholder confidence and support its continued expansion and contribution to national development.
RIUC is a private higher education institution accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and forms part of the ADvTECH Group, a pan-African education provider.
