The Vice Presidential candidate for the Ghana Freedom Party,(GFP) Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi known widely as Roman Fada, has confirmed the death of the flagbearer of the party, Madam Akua Donkor.
According to him, she felt sick on Saturday and was sent to the Nsawam Government Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
However, on Sunday, she was rushed to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital formerly ly known as the Ridge Hospital where she kicked the bucket at 10 pm on Monday.
Maame Akua Donkor according to Roman Fada died at age 83.
The Ghana Freedom Party is expected to release a statement announcing her death and their decisions going forward.
Roman Fada who spoke to Accra-based Onua TV used the opportunity to call on all political parties to ensure that the 2024 elections are peaceful.
“Let’s use the death of our mother to remind ourselves that we are one people and that we should ensure that we vote peacefully and have our country in one piece,” he said.
