Rootz Sistaz have been crowned champions of the Eastern Regional Womens Division One League after a 21 win over Valued Girls in the final at the Koforidua Sports Stadium on Saturday.The final drew strong attention as both sides competed for the title and a place in the Womens Premier League. Rootz Sistaz started well and took control with two goals that gave them the advantage.Valued Girls responded with a goal to reduce the deficit and set up a tense finish, but Rootz Sistaz remained organised at the back and saw out the game.The win caps a strong season for Rootz Sistaz and confirms their promotion to the top tier of womens football in Ghana.
