Award-winning Ghanaian actress, Roselyn Ngissah, has called for greater support for young and upcoming actors, urging renowned movie producer Frank Rajah Arase to invest in grooming and mentoring a new generation of talents to strengthen Ghana’s movie industry.
She made this appeal while delivering a goodwill message to the Nigerian producer and creative director on Tuesday, March 24, during the press preview of his new movie, Virgin of the Throne, held at Silverbird Cinemas Accra Mall.
Ngissah acknowledged Frank Rajah Arase’s significant contribution to the growth of many established actors in Ghana, Nigeria, and beyond. She noted that several well-known figures in the film industry have benefited from his mentorship and productions over the years.
“A lot of us passed through your hands. A lot of the seasoned actors that we all know,” she said, as she expressed appreciation for his impact on the industry.
With the award-winning producer making a return to the movie scene, she encouraged him to extend similar opportunities to emerging talents who are looking to build their careers.

“so Now that you’re back, one, we’re here to support you. Two, I’ll plead with you to also let another new crop of actors pass through your hands,” she stated.
The actress stressed that investing in the training and development of young actors would not only sustain the industry but also improve its overall quality.
“And I believe when we have a lot of talent springing up, doing what they know how to do best, and you’re schooling them as well, our movie industry will no longer be ordinary,” she added.
