A man claiming to be a Russian native has come under intense criticism online after sharing videos of private encounters with several Ghanaian women on social media platforms.

The man, who identifies himself as Yaytseslav from Russia, is said to frequent the Accra Mall area where he approaches shoppers and passersby, strikes up conversations, and records their interactions. These recordings are later shared on his social media platforms.

According to our team’s checks, the man operates active TikTok and YouTube accounts, where he uploads videos documenting his encounters.

In many of the clips, he is seen engaging women in conversation, persuading them to exchange phone numbers, and in some instances, convincing them to visit his residence.

Reports indicate that approximately 40 such videos featuring Ghanaian women are currently circulating on his platforms.

While the content on TikTok and YouTube is accessible to the public at no cost, the man is also said to operate a private Telegram channel where subscribers are charged a monthly fee of about five dollars to access exclusive content.

It is alleged that more explicit or intimate footage is shared on that platform.

In one widely discussed instance, a woman he met while shopping at the mall was later seen in a video wearing a large towel at his residence, suggesting she had just freshened up.

The situation has triggered public outrage, with many social media users raising concerns about privacy, consent, and the ethical implications of recording and monetising such encounters.

Critics have called for authorities to investigate the matter to determine whether the individuals featured in the videos gave informed consent for both the recording and the public distribution of the content.

As of now, there has been no official statement from law enforcement regarding the matter.
