A grieving husband and father, Emmanuel Yasan, has laid his wife, Helena Yasan, and their two daughters to rest after they passed away tragically. The family tragically lost their lives when their vehicle was swept into the Owabi River.
The funeral service held today, November 17,2024, brought the community together to mourn this profound loss. Overwhelmed by sorrow, Emmanuel was seen weeping uncontrollably, surrounded by supportive friends and family in a poignant moment.
The atmosphere was heavy with grief, as mourners struggled to come to terms with the tragedy. Among them, one individual openly wept, mirroring the collective pain of all present in honouring the memory of Helena and her daughters.
“I called my wife, but she didn’t answer. I thought her phone had died because of the blackout the night before. When I went to the children’s school and didn’t find them there, I returned to the river where the car had gone off. That’s when I realised it was her car,” he recalled, his voice filled with emotion.
