Communication Minister Samuel Nartey George has publicly celebrated his wife, Mrs. Vera George, after she was honoured as the Humanitarian Heroine of the Year at the 3rd edition of the Legacy of Impact Awards held on Saturday November 15.
Mrs. Vera George, founder of the Dzata Foundation, was recognised for her outstanding humanitarian contributions at the prestigious philanthropic awards ceremony hosted at the Marriott Hotel on November 15, 2025.
The event, organised under the theme ‘Legacy of Impact,’ celebrates individuals whose work is transforming lives across Ghana.
Following her win, Sam George took to Instagram to share his admiration and pride. In his heartfelt post, he described accompanying his wife to receive the honour as a special moment.
“Last Saturday, I was proud to accompany my lovely Vera, the exceptional CEO of the @dzatafoundation — the CSR wing of my office as MP — to pick up an award as the Humanitarian Heroine of the Year at the #AFLAAwards,” he wrote.
He went on to applaud the dedication behind her work, noting that the award reflects the countless lives she and her team are impacting.
“It was a proud moment to see the extraordinary work Vera and her team put in being recognised and celebrated. She and her team deserve the flowers they are getting for the many lives they are touching and transforming.”
Sam George ended his message with a warm show of support:
