Ghanaian Dancehall icon Samini showcases his acting talent in the upcoming film “The Storm”, where he plays the role of Ali Zafara, a formidable and respected leader of the Southern Crime underground.
The movie, produced by Ben Owusu, is set to premiere on September 21 and 22, 2024, at Silverbird Cinemas in Kumasi. “The Storm” is a thrilling exploration of Accra’s criminal underworld, weaving a narrative of crime, corruption, and the fight for justice.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Adjetey Anang, Ama K. Abebrese, Salma Mumin, Fiifi Coleman, Edward Agyekum Kuffuor, and Luckie Lawson .
The story follows the devastating impact of criminal activities in Accra, with Adjetey Anang and Ama K. Abebrese portraying dedicated detectives battling to bring justice. Meanwhile, Luckie Lawson’s character, Milly, emerges as a social advocate, becoming an overnight celebrity and positioning herself as a rival to the President. Samini’s portrayal of the ruthless Ali Zafara adds a compelling layer to this intense and action-packed film.
