Samini to headline Adamfopa Talent Quest grand finale in Paris on October 26

The organizers of the much-hyped music reality contest dubbed “Adamfopa Talent Quest Show,” has named renowned Ghanaian dancehall artiste Samini who has earned the coveted title “King of African Dancehall”, as one of the headline act for the grand finale of the event scheduled for October 26, 2024.

The Adamfopa Talent Quest Show is a creative initiative created by Groupe Adamfopa Services Paris, operators of Paris-based Adamfopa Media Paris to unearth the talent, creative skills and artistic prowess of young Africans born and bred in the diaspora to reconnect with their heritage.

The grand finale, expected to attract stakeholders in Ghana’s music space, Europe among others, will take place at the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel in Paris-France.

Chief Executive Officer of Adamfopa Media Paris, Mr. Isaac Oppong Dwomoh emphasized that the event seeks to provide a unique platform to re-connect “our diasporan youth” with their roots and promote our traditions on an international stage.

He further explained that the Adamfopa Talent Quest Show aims to celebrate and showcase the talents of Ghanaians/Africans in the diaspora adding that the event is expected to attract several high-profile personalities, celebrities, entertainers, musicians, traditional rulers and African cultural exhibitors.

The grand finale will also feature the “Unveiling Ghana Experience Concert”, a musical extravaganza designed to showcase pure Ghanaian music performances by Ghanaian artists.

Being organized jointly by the Paris-based Groupe Adamfopa Services Paris and RAM Media Concepts (Ghana) the Adamfopa Talent Quest Show grand finale promises to be a memorable contest, offering attendees a unique and unforgettable musical experience.

Samini, the headline act and brand ambassador for the contest is a stalwart in live music performer known for his captivating stage presence that always leaves his audience wanting more.

The legendary reggae dancehall icon is expected to put up a passionate musical performance to take his audience back into memory lane where he will be expected to perform a live rendition of some of his early days music tracks such as Linda, Sweet Mistake, Obaa, My Own amongst others.

There would be performances from surprise guest artistes who have also been invited to hit the stage at the night’s event.

Isaac Oppong Dwomoh further hinted that artists such as Jupitar, Abrewa Nana, Bogo Blay, Pinky Pecks and some of the Ghanaian renowned contemporary dance icons such Allo Danny now known as DannyGMC, Official Serwaa amongst others who have also been billed to mentor the contestants, artists and also act as judges/juries for the competition.

The Ghanaian organizing partner of the event, Mr. Augustine Mark, CEO of RAM Media Concepts noted that about 26 contestants were screened for the contest through auditions, performances and poetry recitals at two different auditions organized in Sarcelles, Paris on 7th and 14th September, 2024.

Mr. Augustine further explained that 8 contestants were successfully selected to compete for the final spot where they stand the chance of winning moth watering cash prizes, studio recording packages, fully expenses paid holiday trips outside France to any European nation of choice and many consolation prices.

He said the event is expected to attract thousands of music fans to witness the event, adding that some fan-making performances have been created to entertain fans.

Sources close to Samini’s camp have hinted that the King of African Dancehall will perform to sway women off their feet, something he is good at doing anytime he takes the stage.

Samini has performed alongside Sean Paul, Akon, Kevin Little, Shaggy, Wayne Wonder, Damian Marley, Bennie Man, Jay-Z, Chaka Demus & Pliers, and Steel Pulse.

He has also received international recognition as well as toured the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, and the Netherlands.
