Ghanaian singer Sefa has revealed how a harsh social media comment once left her emotionally shaken and pushed her to step away from Twitter, now known as X.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Day Break Hitz with Doreen Avio, the E Choke hitmaker recounted how an X user questioned her talent and suggested that her then-label boss, D-Black, was “wasting his money on Sefa.”

According to the singer, the comment deeply affected her because it overlooked the hard work she puts in behind the scenes. “You people don’t know what goes on behind the scenes… you don’t know how much work I put behind the scenes,” she said. She added that being reduced to “just beauty, no brains” was “very disturbing at a point” and admitted, “that really broke me.”
However, Sefa explained that the criticism eventually fueled her determination. “That was when the vim and the vigour came that you have to do more,” she noted, saying the experience strengthened her resolve to prove herself.
Sefa is currently promoting her new single Busy Body featuring Stonebwoy, as she continues to push forward in her career.
