Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo was in action as Manchester City defeated Arsenal FC by 2-0 in an entertaining Carabao Cup final at the Wembley Stadium.
The game was really one of two halves with both teams dominated each interval and having their moment but it was the Cityzens who emerged victorious in the end, winning it for the ninth time in their history.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, was mainly decided in the second half, with Nico O’Reilly scoring twice in quick succession in the 60th and 64th minutes to seal victory for the Sky-Blues.
Semenyo lasted the entire duration of the match, putting in a solid shift as City controlled proceedings and kept Arsenal at bay to secure the win.
The Ghanaian forward has enjoyed a good run in the competition, making three appearances and scoring once despite joining at the semi-final stage.
He will now look to carry this form into the remainder of the season as City continue their push on multiple fronts.
