Antoine Semenyo has called on his Manchester City teammates to remain composed as the Premier League title race intensifies in the closing stages of the season.
The Ghanaian forward made the remarks following City’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Liverpool, a result that secured their place in the FA Cup semi-finals and kept their domestic treble ambitions alive.
City now turn their attention to a crucial league fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with the opportunity to close the gap on leaders Arsenal. Arsenal currently hold a nine-point advantage, although Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Semenyo emphasized the need for focus and composure. He noted that while the squad possesses quality, maintaining calmness and readiness will be key as fixtures come in quick succession.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to life at the Etihad Stadium, scoring five goals in nine Premier League appearances. His form has been instrumental in City’s strong push across multiple competitions as they aim to finish the season on a high.
