A senior police officer, Rockson Gyasi, has been found dead inside his kitchen at Akweteyman in Accra.
The deceased officer, who held the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was serving at Tsito in the Volta Region before travelling to Accra to visit his family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
According to reports by Crime Check TV, his wife, Mavis Boateng, made the shocking discovery in the early hours of this morning.
He was found at about 5:00 a.m. lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen of their home, with gunshot wounds. His service pistol was also reportedly found on a nearby stool.
The incident has raised questions among observers, with some speculating whether it could be a case of suicide.
Reports also allege that the officer left a note which reads “I’m going back to where I came from”
