Dancehall sensation Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has announced a powerful new partnership with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to support rising musical talents in Ghana.
The initiative, named Shaxi Music Mentorship Class, aims to propel Ghana’s street kings and lyrical queens to the global stage.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale shared excitement after a productive meeting with YEA CEO Malik Basintale, highlighting the potential impact on the nation’s creative youth:
“If you believe in your pen game… If your sound is different… Then get ready. Because you might be the one we’re about to put on that global stage!”
According to Shatta Wale, the programme will leverage his platform “Shaxi” alongside YEA resources to give talented but underexposed artists access to professional mentorship, studio recording sessions, and international exposure opportunities.
“This isn’t just talk — it’s action. We’re building something real for the street kings and lyrical queens,” he said, underscoring the initiative’s commitment to nurturing genuine artistry rooted in Ghanaian culture.
