Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has shown a remarkable gesture of reconciliation by gifting his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, a luxurious new home in Abokobi. This comes after public backlash over allegations that he had neglected her for over a decade.
The news was shared by Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, who took to his YouTube channel to showcase a video tour of the stunning three-bedroom property. The house, with its elegant interiors and serene surroundings, symbolizes a fresh chapter for Madam Elsie.
Earlier this year, Madam Elsie emotionally accused Shatta Wale of abandoning her. In an interview, she revealed that she had been battling a serious illness and was under the care of her sister and niece. Her claims sparked widespread criticism, with many questioning why one of Ghana’s wealthiest musicians hadn’t supported his own mother.
In response to the public outcry, Shatta Wale took action by purchasing the home for Madam Elsie and ensuring her smooth relocation. Sammy Flex provided additional details about the process, emphasizing the artist’s intention to make amends.
The gesture has received mixed reactions. While some have applauded Shatta Wale for stepping up, others argue that the move was overdue, given his mother’s earlier struggles.
