Scores of Shatta Wale’s supporters, dressed in black and red, have gathered at the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) in Accra, chanting and wailing for the release of the popular artiste, who remains in custody after failing to meet stringent bail conditions over alleged Lamborghini tax probe.
The fans, believed to be members of the Shatta Movement, flooded EOCO’s premises in the early hours of today, Thursday August 21 to protest the detention of the dancehall star.
Shatta Wale was granted bail set at GHS10 million Ghana cedis with two sureties, but according to his media manager, Sammy Flex, the artiste has yet to fulfill these conditions.
Flex assured that Shatta Wale’s legal team is working tirelessly to secure his release.
