Ghanaian socialite Samuel Safo, popularly known as Showboy, has reportedly been arrested and is currently being held at the Koforidua Police District Command.
His arrest follows allegations that he assaulted and exposed the identity of Snapchat blogger BottosGod, who had allegedly been stalking him.
The incident stems from a viral video in which Showboy is seen confronting BottosGod in a room with an unidentified woman, while some alleged associates of Showboy appear to be harassing them.
In response, BottosGod filed a complaint with the police, claiming that his privacy had been violated, his identity exposed, and his brand damaged. He is now seeking legal redress.
Prior to the assault, BottosGod had reportedly shared Showboy’s location at the Aiden Apartments in Koforidua on social media, further escalating tensions between the two.
Another video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) shows Showboy being escorted to the police station in his Range Rover, which has since been seized by authorities as investigations continue.
Sources indicate that Showboy was in Koforidua with his team for a media tour and a video shoot when BottosGod, who resides nearby, allegedly checked into the same apartment complex, supposedly to monitor and gather information on him.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter, but the case has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
