A tragic incident from Barekese in the Ashanti Region confirms the death of a 16-year-old student of Offinso-Namong Senior High School.
The deceased, identified as Rita, was reportedly preparing to leave home for school when she was later discovered dead inside her mother’s deep freezer.

According to her mother, Rita had previously attempted to end it all by jumping into a well. This question has raised questions about her mental and emotional state before the incident.
Ghana Police Service is expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine what led to the teenager’s death.
