The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tatale-Sanguli Constituency, Ntebe Ayo William, has advised young people in the area to take their education seriously and avoid social vices in order to build a better future.
“You are the leaders of tomorrow, and the nation will depend on your dedication, discipline and hard work,” he said.

Mr. William gave the advice during the 69th Independence Day parade held in Tatale in the Northern Region. The event commemorated the courage, sacrifice and determination of the forefathers who fought tirelessly to free the nation from colonial rule on March 6, 1957.
A total of 18 schools participated in the parade. They included Christian Heritage Primary and K.G.; Tatale R/C Primary and K.G.; Tatale D/A Primary and K.G.; Kuyuli Pentecost Primary and K.G.; and Nure E/A Primary and K.G.
The participating junior high schools were Christian Heritage JHS; Tatale R/C J.H.S.; Tatale D/A J.H.S.; Kuyuli Pentecost J.H.S.; Nure E/A J.H.S.; and Girls Model J.H.S.
Private schools that took part were F.M.M. Passion Primary; S.D.A. Primary; Methodist Primary; Calvary International Primary; Lighthouse International Primary; El-Shadai International Primary; and Kings International Primary.
The event, dubbed “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope,” brought together the District Chief Executive, traditional leaders, elders, members of the clergy, youth groups, women, students, security personnel and residents of Tatale.
Mr. William recalled the words of Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah, who declared that the independence of Ghana was meaningless unless it was linked with the total liberation of Africa.
He said the words continued to inspire generations to work hard for the progress of the nation.

According to him, independence was not only a celebration of freedom but also a reminder of the collective responsibility to build a nation that was united, peaceful and prosperous.
He stressed that development did not occur by chance but through the commitment and integrity of both leaders and citizens working together.
Mr. William said he remained committed to improving the lives of the people in areas such as education, agriculture, healthcare, roads and youth empowerment.
“We believe that when our young people are educated, skilled and empowered, the future of Tatale-Sanguli and Ghana becomes brighter,” he added.
He also commended farmers, whom he described as the backbone of the economy, for their tireless efforts in feeding communities and contributing to national development.
Mr. William said government and local leadership would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving agricultural productivity and livelihoods.
He further urged residents to maintain the peace and unity in the district, stressing that Ghana has remained a beacon of peace and democracy in Africa because of the respect citizens showed one another regardless of tribe, religion or political affiliation.
He appealed to residents to continue living together in harmony and to preserve the peace they currently enjoy in order to attract development to the constituency.
Mr. William also called on residents to renew their commitment to building the Tatale-Sanguli District they desired — one where opportunities were available for all, where children could dream big, and where development reached every community.
“Together, with determination, unity and hard work, we can build a stronger Tatale-Sanguli and a stronger Ghana,” he added.
