Teachers Should Appreciate NPP’s Massive Educational Investments – Bono Regional Minister

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene, has commended teachers for their dedication and encouraged them to show gratitude for the substantial investments made in the educational sector by the government under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking at a teachers’ awards ceremony in Berekum, she emphasized that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government values the welfare of teachers, taking prompt action on their concerns.

According to Madam Owusu Banahene, the NPP government’s commitment to enhancing teachers’ working conditions is evident in the significant resources allocated to the sector. She noted that the government has worked through various agencies, departments, and the Ministry of Education to improve teaching and learning environments.

This includes upgrading school infrastructure, implementing policies aimed at professional development, and supporting welfare initiatives that address the needs of teachers and students alike.

She further highlighted how these investments in education reflect the government’s dedication to the profession, noting that teachers’ concerns are consistently prioritized.

“The NPP government genuinely considers the well-being of teachers and swiftly addresses their grievances,” she remarked.

The Minister added that these interventions have contributed to creating a more stable and conducive atmosphere for teachers, which, in turn, enhances their ability to deliver quality education.
