A Thai beauty queen turned a shocking on-stage disaster into a viral moment after her veneers suddenly fell out in the middle of a live pageant — and the cameras were rolling.

Miss Grand Thailand contestant Kamolwan Chanago was delivering her opening remarks during the preliminary round when her dental prosthetics appeared to come loose mid-speech. In a moment that could have ended in embarrassment, the stunned contestant simply turned her back to the audience, calmly put her teeth back in, and carried on like nothing had happened.

Instead of running off stage, Chanago stunned the audience by confidently strutting down the runway in her sparkly evening gown, smiling, posing, and finishing her routine to loud cheers from the crowd.

The jaw-dropping moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising her professionalism and confidence under pressure. Many users said she handled the situation “like a true queen” and applauded her for not panicking.

The incident happened during the preliminary round of the Miss Grand Thailand pageant. The winner, who will be crowned on Saturday, will go on to represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2026 in India.

PAGEANT DRAMA CONTINUES

The mishap comes months after another pageant controversy rocked the beauty world when Miss Universe winner Victoria Theilvig staged a dramatic walkout in Bangkok in support of Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch, who had been publicly reprimanded by pageant officials during a live-streamed event.

Theilvig, the first Danish woman to win Miss Universe, walked out of the ceremony saying:

“This is about women’s rights. To trash another girl — it’s beyond disrespectful.”

The incident triggered a mini-revolt, with several contestants attempting to walk out in protest before security intervened.

From falling teeth to walkouts and protests, the pageant world is proving to be just as dramatic off the runway as it is on it.
