Seven Xavier, president of the Ghana Music Alliance, has pointed out major visibility challenges at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

During a review of the event on Channel One TV‘s The Chat Show with Ekow Koomson on Saturday May 17, he noted that many attendees, including VIP ticket holders, found it difficult to see performances as people in the front rows stood on chairs.

“After the first couple of rows, everybody, when there’s performances, they’re standing on chairs. So even this year, with the VIP tickets, you still can’t see anything,”** Xavier stated.

Although he acknowledged improvements in this year’s awards compared to previous editions, Xavier attributed the ongoing visibility problems to venue limitations.

He explained that smaller venues with flat seating arrangements make it difficult for audiences to get a clear view, while larger auditoriums also have seating structures that obstruct visibility.

“There’s no place we can do this, maybe the National Theatre where you can actually have these rows, but of course, capacity is not enough,” he added.
