Ghanaian writer, Professor Lade Wosornu has unveiled his latest book, The Case of Dr. O. P. Asem, a collection of short plays written in simple, relatable language.

The event featured a panel discussion on the book’s significance, with speakers emphasising the importance of encouraging young people to read.

Several key figures in Ghana’s creative sector attended to honour Prof. Wosornu, including Rex Omar, Presidential Staffer in Charge of the Black Star Experience, Gideon Aryeequaye, Acting Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency, Ghana and Wakefield Ackuaku, Acting Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture.

Adding a cultural touch, Prof. Wosornu demonstrated the correct pronunciation of the book’s title in the Twi dialects, enriching the audience’s appreciation of its linguistic nuances.

The event brought together alumni and students of Presbyterian Senior High School, as well as participants from other senior high schools, nursing schools, writers, and well-wishers, fostering a dynamic discussion on the book.

During the interactive session, Prof. Wosornu shared insights into his writing journey, challenges he has faced and lessons for aspiring writers. His words left a lasting impression, inspiring many in attendance.
