Ghanaian music icon Samini has officially announced the return of his signature end-of-year concert, The Samini Experience, set for December 24 at the Laboma Beach in Accra.
The much-anticipated event, a staple in Ghana’s festive calendar, promises a bigger outdoor celebration this year.
Speaking on Hitz FM on Tuesday, November 12, the award-winning artiste revealed that this year’s edition of The Samini Experience will move to a new venue, Laboma Beach, after years of being held at different locations.
“This year, it’s outdoor. We’re going to Laboma. You heard it here first, Samini Experience is happening 24th of December at Laboma,” he said excitedly.
“We realised the thing is growing and the crowd keeps getting bigger, so we had to move to a space that accommodates everyone.”
The concert, which coincides with Christmas Eve celebrations, has over the years become synonymous with Samini’s brand, blending live band music, reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats in an atmosphere of unity and celebration.
Samini noted that details about ticketing and lineup will be released soon but assured fans of a memorable night. “It’s going to be quite an experience. You know how we do when we go outside, High-Grade family style,” he said, hinting that the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is supporting the event.
