Baba RahmanGhana defender Baba Rahman has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to focus on better planning and organisation to revive the fortunes of the Ghana Premier League. In an interview with Joy Sports, the former Dreams FC and Chelsea left-back stated that Ghanaian clubs are not lacking in talent but struggle due to poor structural support. The challenges in our league arent due to a lack of talent; there are genuinely good players competing, Rahman said. But when it comes to continental competitions, we often fall short.Rahman, who made a direct move from Dreams FC to German Bundesliga side SpVgg Greuther Frth in 2012, believes the leagues potential remains untapped due to weak planning and poor execution. The real problem lies in planning and organisation. Improving these areas is crucial to attracting fans and helping our clubs perform better, he added. The just-ended season saw Bibiani Gold Stars win their first-ever Ghana Premier League, securing the title with an impressive 4-0 win over Accra Lions on the final day.
