The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has commended Channel One TV and Citi FM for their continuous contribution to promoting Ghana’s cultural identity and tourism.
Her remarks came during the opening of the This is Ghana Exhibition, a two-day fair at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra that brings together local entrepreneurs, artisans, corporate brands, and SMEs to showcase authentic Ghanaian products and services.

This year’s edition places strong emphasis on innovation, creativity, and sustainability, while highlighting Made-in-Ghana goods for both local and international markets.
In her address, Madam Gomashie praised the organisers for consistently spotlighting Ghana’s heritage across their platforms.

“From the programmes that you do, to the music, the food, the festivals, and even the celebration of Ghana Month, you have set the pace for years. So when I heard about this event, I just had to come,” she said.

She explained that although she had earlier represented President John Dramani Mahama at the Homowo festival in Ningo-Prampram, she felt compelled to attend the exhibition’s opening to show her support.
“In this industry, the public creates the environment and the private sector drives it. Because you drive it and make my work easy, I had to come here and applaud you,” she added.
