Three Arrested in Connection with East Legon Robbery

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals for a robbery in East Legon, Accra, on August 18, 2024.

 

The arrests followed a series of intelligence-led operations conducted by the police.

 

According to a press release on August 27, suspects Isaac Brena Eshun and Peter Amuzu were apprehended in Accra on August 21 and 23, respectively.

 

Suspect Ibrahim Mohammed was detained in Tamale on August 24, 2024.

 

During the arrests, the police recovered several items, including two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180, and three other vehicles suspected of having been acquired through illegal means.

 

The Ghana Police Service indicated that the suspects are believed to be part of a criminal syndicate involved in both robbery and the illicit sale of stolen vehicles across the country.

 

All three suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
